Last year most, including myself completely missed on Manchester and University both making it to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in March. I could be completely wrong again and two teams could come out of nowhere. It seems to be a pretty open field of candidates to bring home the title this year as well. Parke Heritage and Gary 21st have been the top 2 teams coming into the season and with the addition of Oak Hill and Paoli, make up arguably the top 4 teams going into the postseason. In sectional 48, the home team Rangers of Forest Park have won 3 straight titles but injuries have really derailed their season and Mater Dei looks to take the crown. Linton and Sullivan is a near dead heat for who the favorites are in Sectional 47. I know better than to ever count out a Coach Miller team @ Providence so I’m writing in Paoli as the favorites but not in sharpie. Sectional 45 has 3/5 teams that could make a case for being the favorites. The Rebels are at home but Austin and South Ripley have beaten them this year and have had strong 2nd halves of their seasons. You could just flip a coin when you’re looking for a favorite between Indy Scecina and Triton Central in Sectional 43. Sectional 42 may be the most balanced in 2A with Ritter, Park Tudor, University, and 21-1 Riverside. Blackford’s new addition that just became eligible along with having the sectional’s best player gives them the slim edge over Wapahani in Sectional 40. Lapel, Frankton, Taylor, and Sheridan will be a dog fight in their sectional with all 4 teams having strong seasons. Sectional 34 @ Laville will be another good one between Jimtown and Bremen being the likely co-favorites. Gary 21st, FW Luers, Westview, and Oak Hill are heavy favorites in their sectionals.
